Mafia II mods / Mafia II LUA scripts

wow, thanks a lot to andrashi, and to you Phelps.




It is hard to find things for this game regarding lua. such a shame they got that point of view on things,if they opted for modding tools, this game could have grown so much (if any 2k reading, why don't you go look at bis arma series...)


 




Mafia is a great game, and they achieved one of if not the best feeling in the streets, would have been so nice for people like me stuck at home, to be able to seat where you want and enjoy the view as well as take the public transport bus train subway, you know just to wander around and give you a feeling of freedom, might seem awkward to some people but it is much better to spend time like this then to watch true the window of your home  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

Guys many people have this wiki, how do you want mod to improve if we cannot get info already found, I'll really need that mafia2 wiki lua file, anyone that can pm me a link is more than welcome as I have plenty time to give to this game modding (back injuries, and I really want to do the taxi and bus ride as a client).




I have got plenty time,now if someone want to send me the file ocram(at)lineone(dot)net.

Well I am pretty new to this MAFIA II game, the good part is that I got it for 6âââ¬Å¡Ã¬


 




I am already around this forum for a few weeks, but I did not introduced myself yet.




So I have got the full game, steam version, I started to play it, and gosh I found that the immersion achieved 'city life wise' is very good and probably the best I have seen.




So I decided to try to have a look at its modding possibilities, to had to this game what I could, with my near to zero knowledge of Lua,




(I am not a programmer but I can pretty well understand what a program is doing by reading its code whatever its language,... which is a good start)




I'll have to say thx Existenz34 for sharing some infos and excellent free ride.( I thx as well this site obviously  " data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  )


 




Gosh it's annoying not to be able to get into a bus, have a taxi ride or seat where you want ...




So that is going to be what I 'll  aim for with my 'Lu a bilities' for this game.


 




-Taxi ride




-Bus ride




-Seat anywhere with the good animation automatically detected


 




Here is in the correct order, what I am interested in.


 




Oh, I forgot, I am french (in case you did not notice ...) and I already started to wander my way around the taxi part, I have to say that Empire Bay taxi drivers must all be Italian regarding the way they drive ... (which is  normal I suppose for a mafia game  " data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  )




But if they do not necessarily take the shortest way to my destination (unless they are more intelligent than I tough, and  are simply trying to grow the bill for the fare  " data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">  ) they at least bring me to the right place I want go and stop my there.


 




I start my script from the injector for now so i need to do more work on this at the moment




as well as many things that can interfere during the journey, accident, police interaction, car stuck ... etc, that needs to be look at...


 




I 'll try to make a video, but I need hdd space, so won't be soon, but I 'll do my best

IS it worth to mod Mafia II Taxi


 




A real working taxi ride, with a driver that bring you where you asked him to go,




and have to pay for it.Is what I mean by Taxi Ride (as I have seen many fake video around.)


 




Now, my point is to know who will be interested by having Mafia II real working Taxi ?




I am actually working on it, and just to know if it is worth for me to do a proper mod or shall I just




go injector version of it


 




The outcoming of that question will radically change the way I'll do the code and finalization of it.


 




So if possible to do,Anybody interested in a Taxi Mod for Mafia II or not ?




thanx for answering so I know what to do, or if you have information of what as already been




achieved in mafia 2 regarding taxi.
