No, not yet. I was actually thinking of adapting that tutorial in importing Valve BSP maps to GTA as well.

Yeah, the only best bit from it was the racing missions which was added in lieu of what they cut when they ported the game to consoles. And IDK why the hell they did the same with the Xbox version when it's clear that Microsoft's console was a tad more powerful.

Never mind, I managed to find it. It actually came with the Real Car Facing mod. A similar model was also included in Life in Lost Heaven:

If you were talking ONLY about city scenes, then it's all about the graphics. For sure, there is draw distance, far clipping range and LOD's, but when you are loading city, all objects are loaded AT ONCE. So, Lost Heaven isn't chopped for sectors etc., it have only graphic optimalization. Whole city is one big map.



 




So the engine doesn't stream content, then. I asked about this since I'm thinking as to how badly-done things were in the console versions of the game.

Actually the original lyrics for the song were from a poem called "The Lady of the Lake", loosely translated to German. The Ave Maria premise might have led to some singing the Latin Hail Mary prayer to the tune of Schubert's melody.

Nice, that's quite a swell job, well since I'm expecting for this mod to happen after most of the guys at GTAForums were porting various maps to RAGE. Too bad a whole lot of work has to be done since the Lost Heaven map wasn't done in a way R* would've made, like empty areas (or lack of roofs for that matter) and some overlapping geometry.

Lol 100k polygons? Wouldn't that be insane for lower-end systems?

That'll be great but so far there's no import/export filter for Zmod; you can import models from Mafia 2 via 3DS Max, but the format isn't well understood so you won't be able to convert models as what I've said earlier.
