An announcement in 2012 is perfectly reasonable.


 




They're not going to take 8 years this time since they're not building a new game engine from the ground up.


 




Two thing need to happen for me to even be remotely interested in Mafia III though.


 




1) Daniel Vavra not only comes back but he is also given full creative control of the project.


 




2) Jack Scalici has absolutely nothing to do with this game, his name doesn't even appear in the credits.

Wow, GREAT find Zahar.


 




I tested game.sds:ActivateStreamMapLine("summer") with Mafia 2 EX and most areas seem to be loading well with working doors and everything. Eric's apartment even has the NPC's loaded.


 




If only it didn't require a dedicated sky, it would have been the perfect streammap.

I'm not sure if the Vinci Mansion streamMap is available in JA. without that StreamMap you cannot load the mansion.


 




Anyways what you're speaking of won't work. We already have activated the mansion in Mafia2 eX which basically utilizes everything from JA except the StreamMaps. The problem is at certain points around the mansion (example the backyard) it crashes the game due to a parameter issue with JA's "default60.mtl". That file alters the map for JA, without it we lose all JA assets and with it we lose some M2 assets.

The problem with this once great community diminishing has nothing to do with a single website going down. Members are not flocking here because they don't care about this franchise anymore and that is all 2K Games fault. They destroyed this community when they butchered Mafia II.


 




Let's face the facts, Mafia II was nothing like the original Mafia. Mafia II was a major disappointment that took 8 years to create and on top of that it is not modder friendly. There is very little a community can rally behind when we get shafted like this.

The problem with switching the streammap to "Free_Joe_load" is the vehicle will not spawn outside. Edit the script and you will see that the vehicle disappears. The only way to keep the vehicle is to make it ownership. I tried to use "game.game:GetActivePlayer():MakeCarOwnership" but it does not seem to work with these JV vehicle streammaps.


 




Thank you for those enenmy streamamps. Those will come in handy.

All i could find is my original manual install instructions M2EX.


 




1. Replace the content file in JA with this one. www.mediafire.com/?t1znxb4g37m33tg




2. Copy default60.mtl from JA and rename it to default50.mtl. Then put that in JV/game_edit/materials folder




3. Copy and rename âââ¬Ãâgame_director.sds from main game pc/sds_en/missionscript to âââ¬Ãâfr_game_directorâââ¬

I am aware of these bugs.


 




Diamond Motors is a work in progress and needs a lot of time. All I have set up is entry/exit and ability to purchase vehicles. Unfortunately the sky glitch is due to streammap switching, until we figure another way to load entity's this problem will not be fixed.


 




The black texture problem is due to a shader conflict. Those enemies are not designed to spawn in those areas so occasionally they get glitched. The issue is random in the Cathouse and Supemarket but is permanent in the distillery.


 




As for the printery and Motel. I placed icons but haven't yet placed an entry point for those areas yet hence why you can't enter.

I just tested the files i uploaded and they all work fine for me so i don't exactly know where you guys are going wrong. I should also note my game is a heavily modded M2 1.0 but i didn't leave anything out that would cause the game to hang.


 




M2EX basically overlaps JA into JV.


 




Make sure the content file in cnt_joes_adventures is set to "" (JV).


 




Then you need to place freeride.sds into cnt_joes_adventures/SDS/Missionscript and ingame.sds cnt_joes_adventures/sds/tables. Then put the Gui_main i uploaded into PC/SDS/SDS_EN/GUI. Do not rename these files, they have to be set as your defaults. Rename your previous ones to back them up


 




In order to launch the Freeride you have to use load chapter first.

^^ You won't see "Road To Perdition", yours will probably say "Free Ride JV" or something like that. enter that menu and at the next menu screen go to "Summer Day".


 




That's it, if it still doesn't work then try reinstalling M2EX.

Did you modify any other files to get the melee weapons to show up?
