screenshots (in your other topic) look incredible btw, you really have put some effort in decorating the rooms.




Only one thing I noticed, most textures seemed stretched. it will look better to tile some textures.

The thing about it's populairity is no longer an issue luckely  :cheer:




In the meantime Hudizzle has done some impressive effort in building the1st class smoking room:


 





































 


 




Also, I Wrote a letter to 2K Czech which I have mailed today, in which I'll ask if I can obtain the game's original SDK tools. I'm curious to their response!

It's currently awaiting autorization, but keep checking if it's authorized. It's about the percent bar, release date and popularity.

Yeah I watched that video yesterday, I was amazed.


 




Indeed like MB discribes, Crysis is way more advanced. but judged from the FPS, I wonder if it's related to all of the detail or just crappy recordings.




After I finish this mod for Mafia I'm planning to convert it to Amnesia and Skyrim aswell, maybe Crysis also someday.


 




I know, not the most common choice of games.




but what would be more fun than running through the 3rd class corridors with this behind your back:Ãâà

Today's update is nothing new on the modelling side, but it is something new on the extra's.




May I present the 3D version of the 3D Titanic! (3D 3D what? 6D....?):


 

















 




It ain't imax, but if you own one of those paper stereoscopic glasses with red and blue glass in it you'll see an incredible ammount of detail coming right at you!







 




next step 3D printing perhaps?Ãâà

none of this will be seen ingame, but it sure plays a big role.




this will give the player a smooth area to walk on.

ok, here's a small ingame update,




all lifeboats have been added and therefore the exterior is now fully placed ingame.




next step i will be working on today is the collission model, to avoid the player getting stuck behind every single object.

i hoped to get all of the exterior ingame earlier, but i now have a week of vacation, so i can do a lot of work on the mod now. also Hudizzle will be joining me this week to start modelling the 1st class smoking room.




Knowing Hud's qualities, prepare for some epic awesomeness of modelling coming ahead!

not really, you can turn your lamp on and off, it's recommended to use it only when neccesairy.




also Tinderboxes must only be used where neccesairy.

hehe, especially that part when that guy says "oh shit i have a bag of milky ways"


 




the sound design of the game makes it more creapy aswell, as soon as the monster is near, you hear the background music change, and when he sees you and goes after you, you'll hear the "Terror meter" sound become louder and louder.

and to make the game more interesting, you only have a limited supply of lamp oil (you find a few cans during the game) and some candles in the rooms are need to be lid with Tinderboxes which you'll find aswell but are limited aswell.


 




so when you run out of oil, your screwed.


 


 




The game developers really did a great job on knowing how to play with someones nerves.
