Oleg says this concerning the possible import/export of Mafia II for Zmodeler 3

QuoteOleg wrote:Mafia2 is very poorly decoded. As far as I know it contains lots of animation stuff very sensitive to geometry mesh. Literally, mafia2 can't be "geometry-moddable" until it's "animation-moddable".

That was posted on June 25th... I hope we see more information as Mafia II really needs a import/export filter to really kick off Mafia II modding.Source:http://forum.zmodeler2.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4711&p=29747&hilit=mafia+2#p29747

Maybe you have seen this about converting models in Mafia 2. It has a bunch of helpful info. I wish someone could make a way to reverse the effects of the sds to dae file unpacker (the antivirus tools hate the programs but they work! Have used)

explain more? How did you get it to work? Disable the antivirus?

My Antivirus AVG just shut down the file when I tried to open the M2CharMC and M2ObjMC files to get the dae files for 3d max. I disabled my antivirus and unzipped the files put the model one in with an .sds car file and then clicked on the tool and it unpacked the .sds file more than any other tool I have used and you can open the .dae (3d) files for the vehicle and use it in another game. I want to know how to unpack to a dae and REPACK IT. You could then put new models in game.
