Real Driver Mod allows us to listen our favourite music while driving the car, use the turn signals (in every car, except fire brigade car and some prototypes) and also in police cars Schubert Extra Six series turn the police siren on.


 




To install this mod, you will need to download three things:


 




-> Mafia 1 tool called DCED




-> Mafia 1 tool called Mafia Data Extractor




-> And this pack


 


 




1. At the very beginning, we download the pack
and extract it to our Desktop.




2. Next, we run MDEx
and extract folder MISSIONS.




3. Then we run DCED, we choose 'Open' option and we look for file scene2.bin (e.g. it can be scene2.bin file from folder FREEKRAJINA
- in this way mod will be working outside the town, but only at a daytime). On control panel we click 'Edit', and then 'Import' - then we choose proper files. We add them one by one, but it's important to save scene2.bin file at the end.


 




IMPORTANT!





It's recommended to make a backup of scene2.bin file, cause DCED is like to damage these files.


 




4. Finally! We run Mafia and set controls in this way in 'Car' section (they're set in this way in order not to corrupt with other controls):




Primary jump key (Q) - left turn signal




Secondary jump key (F) - right turn signal




Secondary car horn key (K) - police siren




Works only with two police cars - they're Schubert Extra Six Police Fordor and Schubert Extra Six Police Tudor.




Primary hide weapon key (H) - music player




To make it working, we put into folder SOUNDS/MUSIC ten (and not more!) audio files with our favourite music - and what's more - they must be in MP3 format and their names must be: 1.mp3, 2.mp3 and so on to 10.mp3.


 




Known bugs (checked by me)




-> Sometimes music in the player turns off automatically (and we can't do anything with this)


 




One more thing




-> In the pack there's also included cop car model Citroen XM Police - it's an addon and it's not required to run the mod.

Not exactly that bug. I'm talking about music that I launch while driving - and yes, Darren I have also that bug you mentioned (they are two different bugs), but I'm not familiar with editing RDM script.

I know it's a bit difficult to put these DNC files into scene2.bin files using DCED, so I'll upload them and post link here, so everybody would launch it easier.

If you want to use turn signals, set controls like that:

It contains scene2.bin files already modded, so RDM should work now. Paste these folders into Mafia/Missions. Then check your controls again. That's all.

I cant turn on police siren!!Can someone help me???

To turn on police siren, import these DNC files as I described in the first post. Then, go to game and press your secondary car horn key ('K' on your keyboard).
