I have BScriptView 4.01 and BScriptView 6 and I get any of them to work. When I try to run either of them I get the error "Unexpected Error". I've tried running them with admin rights, with XP SP3 compatability, and running them in the Mafia game folder. I have put MSCOMCTL.OCX, TABCTL32.OCX, COMDLG32.OCX and RICHTX32.OCX in the system32 folder. I ran regsvr32 on all of them.
Does anyone know what's wrong? I don't have a readme for either version. If anyone has that I'd greatly appreciate it if they posted it (//wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
The one thing I think it might be is the file versions of the OCX files. Maybe I have the wrong versions?
Thanks (//wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
try copying the .oxc files to the bscriptview folder as well.
All I have ever had to do is copy the RICHTX32.OCX files to the bscriptview folder.
Oh. I've tried that as well <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/unsure.png" alt="(//irritated.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"> But thanks! Could you upload your BScript folder?
I never got it to work, ended up deleting it <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="(//frown.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
Hmm. But do I really need it then? Does it do something that no other tool can do?
Depends, What are you trying to do?
I want to make/edit cutscenes (If it's possible to edit those?) and missions <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="(//smile.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
Errr... That's one thing I don't know about, I'm sure a modder will reply soon though <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="(//smile.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
sorry I couldn't be more help
It is the best for inserting objects and scripts IMO
what version are you using?
Here is Version 4.0 which is the one I use more often (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?pcx3jxhipae3dek:1dai7chg)
and
Version 6.0 which is the one I use to edit cache.bin files and scene4 files when I don't want mafia editor leaving its mark (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?tyl5gcqfio47nw7:1dai7chg) mostly just the freeride folders
Also do you have a 32bit machine or a 64 bit machine, and if 64 what folder is mafia installed into (it needs to be the regular program files folder)
Missions are easily editable...cutscenes can be placed, but not so easily edited or made.
You should learn how to script first, then you can edit missions or make new, but I agree with Matteo.Editing cutscenes is difficult, but good luck for this <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink.png" alt="(//wink.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
Darn. Neither of those downloads worked <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/unsure.png" alt="(//irritated.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/unsure@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20"> I have 64-bit Windows, but Mafia is in Program Files, not Program Files (x86). Oh well. I'm starting to give up <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/tongue.png" alt="(//tongue.gif)" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/tongue@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">
I will try to remember what I did to get it to work in my 64 bit system
