@zahar999

Luaedit is not a decompiler, it is like notepad++ or textpad, it is just an editor where you can write and debug your lua code.

@Deewarz

yes SztupY modified Hisham Muhammad's code, up to lua 5.1, unfortunatly has you could see it is very hard to use,

as to make it work you have to get the src and compile it yourself after you make the necessary changes into the code, for it to work proprely ( not released  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">   )

But the unicode version should work, it is very confusing, you have to convert, hex edit, process with other prog first ... etc ... well I was unable to get it to work (yet )

lot of info that helps Here

The bad new is that SztupY let it on the side for a while now, the good news is that somewhone else named Co0kieMonster made LuaDec 3.2 - Lua decompiler based on Sztupy lua tool 5.1, so maybe more luck

Nb: I am not able to make work either of them at this time  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

I can not understand one

yes it is hard, etc.

but someone did it and decompile documents

hence it is possible

it was almost 2 years ago

why there is not any information

all around in different forums to discuss anything

links that you give back provide no useful information

Everything is the same as everywhere else

where to find specific information

who did it and how?

@zahar

http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 0&start=30

you have to read it all carefully, this is exactly the process of programming the tools and make it work, with usefull info and code.

the discussion is with WRS (quickbms sds tool) Sobeit (he made luadec2 unicode version, work with mafia files)

... etc

but Sobeit will not give the dynamicBuffer he wrote to make modified luadec v2 unicode work on decompiling mafia 2 files, as I said earlier you have to get the src version, do some changes in the code of it and compile it back for luadec to work, and the few that were able to do it proprely don't want to share  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

and the link above, is the discussion on part of the changes they made for it to work, at the time they were making them.

but on this forum invent the fact

that someone did 2 years ago

decompiled documents only from the "demo version"

more I did not see anything

so you can have five years to invent something

what has long been someone knows

where to find specific information

who did it and how?

yes the discusion on the forum it is when they were decompiling the demo files (sobeit)

there is no other file than the demo ones in my knowledge.

now here is sztupy making the tools Here
