Just found this mod and use it with eXistenZ34 v2. You can climb in the passenger seat of any car and ride along and if you are using it with v2 you can option that car and chose first person view for a real interesting experience. It is a bit boring but you can get out at any stop and grab another one. I do wish you could get the driver to follow a mapped waypoint as that would be perfect.

Would anyone know what file the veiwpoint is for the first person view in eXistenZ34 v2 mod? I want to tweak it down a bit so the truck visors and short hot rod winshield frames are not in the way.

teisco,

Using the Gibbed Illusion Tool look at the XML file:

/config/gameCamera/carCameraHood

Modded Values:

Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà

Original Values:

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà Ãâà

Ãâà

Yes, it would be cool to have both FPV and Passenger Mod togetherÃâà  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

PS... These values come from the "View from the cab" mod from author "FLATR" not eXistenZ34 v2 mod. However, I am guessing it is the same file.

Thanks, you can have both together but you need the passenger mod and eXistenZ34 v2. You can then enter a car on the passenger side and also use the v2 mod to select first person view. I just wish we could get the driver of the car to follow a waypoint from the map so he would take us somewhere.

About the tools, I could never get them to work, might be my windows 64 bit setup. All I get is a quick dos box open and close and thats it.

Any other way to xlm file to open and save again? Also I think eXistenZ34 v2 mod uses a real first person view as it is different in each vehicle. In other words it places the view were he would be looking and adjusts for a truck, van, car or other. It is just a bit to high and some of the windscreen frames are in the way as well as the visors on some trucks. His files are all in Joes DLC so dont think he changes the stock XLM file.

Here is his first person driving view and you can see it would be nice to tweak he view a bit lower maybe.

Here is his first person view using the passenge mod,,riding in an armored truck.

teisco,

Ok, I got both to work in one file by changing the values in the exisitng "passenger mod" table file.

I changed to the modded values I listed above in the file:

/config/gameCamera/carCameraHood

I currently do not have eXistenZ34 v2 mod installed.

I only used the modified "tables" file and it worked both as a passenger and as the driver.

Granted it is not exactly what you were asking for and I am using the Hood View option to get it done but I kinda like it.Ãâà  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

Note that these modified values center the camera inside the car just as it would with the "FLATR" Cab View.

I know you were going for "center around the player" but that might be above my skill level in Mafia 2.

Also, I have Windows 7 64bit and the Gibbed Illusion Tool works for me, maybe a different version..?

Cool, if you ever get the v2 mod let me know how to change that, I imagine it is in his dlc/joes adv/sds/tables fileÃâà You see his first person view would take over first before my stock table file would if I modded it. I will try to get the tools to work and see if I can open that file.

teisco,

No problemÃâà  <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">

Yes, any DLC would probably take priority if I understand the hierarchy.

Does anyone want the file I modded in the mean time..?

In FR v2 for JA you can have first person view without doing anything. It's already implemented by eXisten - it's enough to choose correct option while in the carÃâà

Cole Phelps,

Cool, I am using/testing this in the standard game Freeride mode (v2.1 by Costa).

It combines the "passenger" and the "cab view" Mods into one file.

However the exisiting "passenger" mod file in the download area already does this for:

The Standard Freeride Mode.

Joes Adventures

Jimmys Vendetta

Interesting though both JA & JV do not have "tables" files and apparently use the core file.

At this time there is not really a new file to share, mostly just info.   Ãâà

With the V2 mod there is two tables files in JA dlc folder. By the way the View from the Cab mod is set behind the front seat in the middle. The V2 mod has a real first person behind the wheel view.
