I downloaded a mod i saw on playgroundDOTru.


 




I have 2 archives :




mod  = cnt_empire_bay.rar (680mb approx.)




update patch = cnt_empire_bay_1.3.1.rar (73mb approx.)


 




It seems to be for Russian game version only.


 




Has anyone here heard of this mod and if it would be possible to have it working for English version?


 




I tryed installing it ,and it does show up in the menu ,but it won't start.


 




U have to remove joes adventure dlc before hand.

This is the best freeride for Mafia II, I can assure you that it outbeats them all I rewrote a english version for myself If you want a copy LMK

I managed to get the mod working a little bit by moving a few files into a 'en' folder.




But it crashes sometimes and the writing is in Russian in-game.




Is v.1.3.1 the best/latest version ?

The problem with some of these mods is "no English" <img src="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad.png" alt="" data-emoticon="" srcset="/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20">




But some of the Russian modders are very good.


 




Mafia 2 is one of my favorite games ,i think the game engine is excellent and it runs very well on an old computer.


 




Anyway if u have an working English version of the Empirebay Mod, i would be very happy to see it,thanks.

Yeah, I know it's really easy to mod mafia 2 though as I found out a way to decompile the lua files and fiddle around with the codes




Mafia II is my favorite aswell and I love modding and playing it, I'm going to start making really good mods but need some ideas I have a couple in mind such as Police Mod and making Empire Bay a city thats more lively etc..

I got the empire mod v1.3.1 working with english version.




I made duplicate of two 'ru' folders.




1:




dlc_datarussian




copy to: dlc_dataenglish




2:




cnt_empire_baysds_ru




copy to: cnt_empire_baysds_en

P.S..Don't forget! You have to remove 'cnt_joes_adventures' folder from dlc folder.


 




NOT SURE IF IT WAS THE BEST WAY TO DO IT,but it seemed to work for me.

I haven't spent much time using  the Empire Mod until recently and I'm having difficultly understanding where the missions are,i think there is races u can take part in.

Maybe Monica is removed in v1.31 or possibly my files are corrupted from too many different mods.


 




Thanks to your English GUI, i can see missions now from phone in apartment.

Yeah when you install too many mods your basically overwriting the old one, She actually is I'm going to improve the English GUI in a couple of days


 




If you find any bugs with the English GUI tell me I'll fix them and anything else

Russian people are always so active

Any chance you could do English subtitles? Also, is it possible to remove the Russian voices completely? I'd rather hear nothing and have English subtitles over hearing a foreign language.

I'll try it'd be very hard to understand what there saying though If not I'll just remove it for you ALL

I didn't realise there was Russian voices ,until they kicked in while playing the mod,it is a shame i suppose.




If they are reused game assets ,it might be possible to just replace them with the English versions.

Yes, they probably did because I can't understand it I suppose it would be replacing it with default sound assets
