This is a FreeRide modification designed to work only with M2ex Summer.

It’s a small proof of concept for a much larger future mod. One of my goals for this FreeRide is to make a full Godfather takeover/extortion mod. Basically putting enemies at all store fronts. When you defeat the enemies then you can purchase the store just like in the Godfather games by EA.

Beta 1 features

- Mission - “like shooting fish in a barrel“ = Vinci’s men captured Joe and are going to kill him. Joe’s location is on the map (yellow M2 icon). Word of advice, rob a gun store before you go to Joe and be very alert.

-Body Guards = Joe and Henry

-Enemy territory spawns = Distillery , Cathouse, Super Market, Bruski’s yard. Enemies respawn every time you enter their territory. Bruski’s yard is random though.

-Safehouses = added Hillwood Villa and Leo’s Mansion (save and clothing options but no garage yet)

-Option to remove hat in every clothing shop and safehouses

-Option to change into mission clothing in all safehouses

-Public transportation = Big thanks to existenz for this.

-Weather change when you save = Only three weather types in beta 1 script. Day, Rain and Night. You can however change to whatever weather you want with a LUA injector.

-Access to Diamond Motors and can purchase vehicles.

-Access to most mission and DLC areas to explore. See existenz thread for more details.

different from the M2ex whom I had known

I agree entirely Tommy Mafioso, eXistenZ34 worked hard even when the mod sites were closing down we all owe him very much for his strong commitment to Mafia mods, and I am checking out your mod too, it sounds nice.

I've downloaded the mod, and downloaded from your last post and installed, but have not been able to get it working, am I missing a file? I have installed before I downloaded your mod these...

Zahar999's FR M2 mod with Melee Weapons & eXistenZ34 FR JA v2.0. I really look forward to checking out what your mod is like, just can't get it work right.

I just tested the files i uploaded and they all work fine for me so i don't exactly know where you guys are going wrong. I should also note my game is a heavily modded M2 1.0 but i didn't leave anything out that would cause the game to hang.

M2EX basically overlaps JA into JV.

Make sure the content file in cnt_joes_adventures is set to "<Mount TriggerId="GameLine_2">" (JV).

Then you need to place freeride.sds into cnt_joes_adventures/SDS/Missionscript and ingame.sds cnt_joes_adventures/sds/tables. Then put the Gui_main i uploaded into PC/SDS/SDS_EN/GUI. Do not rename these files, they have to be set as your defaults. Rename your previous ones to back them up

In order to launch the Freeride you have to use load chapter first.

^^ You won't see "Road To Perdition", yours will probably say "Free Ride JV" or something like that. enter that menu and at the next menu screen go to "Summer Day".

That's it, if it still doesn't work then try reinstalling M2EX.

I am aware of these bugs.

Diamond Motors is a work in progress and needs a lot of time. All I have set up is entry/exit and ability to purchase vehicles. Unfortunately the sky glitch is due to streammap switching, until we figure another way to load entity's this problem will not be fixed.

The black texture problem is due to a shader conflict. Those enemies are not designed to spawn in those areas so occasionally they get glitched. The issue is random in the Cathouse and Supemarket but is permanent in the distillery.

As for the printery and Motel. I placed icons but haven't yet placed an entry point for those areas yet hence why you can't enter.

The problem with switching the streammap to "Free_Joe_load" is the vehicle will not spawn outside. Edit the script and you will see that the vehicle disappears. The only way to keep the vehicle is to make it ownership. I tried to use "game.game:GetActivePlayer():MakeCarOwnership" but it does not seem to work with these JV vehicle streammaps.

Thank you for those enenmy streamamps. Those will come in handy.

All i could find is my original manual install instructions M2EX.

if i remember correctly, the summoned diamond motors will be floating near the bridge/flyover near Diamond Motors on ground.
